Arthurkulp
Whenever I try to play with y’all router and I have upnp enabled to get a open nat type my game always says relay disconnected now if I disable upnp and play on a moderate nat type everything works but it feels way more delayed then using a open nat type with upnp enable.and I can’t host my lobby’s on a moderate nat type either
Arthurkulp
It’s not a cg nat issue I ran the command already in cmd
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10 Administrators Share Posted November 10 What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Could you provide a screenshot of that relay message please? Is the device directly connected to the router or through a switch, extender etc? Arthurkulp
I don’t have a R3 I have the xr1000 connected to the Bgw 210 it’s a atnt fiber modem
Arthurkulp
And I do know if my modem has a dmz mode if there is could you tell me where to find it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10 Administrators Share Posted November 10 Sorry force of habit, I don't know if it has it or not and I wouldn't know the specific location of it. If you access it then it could be in Security settings. Otherwise if you refer to the manual it will tell you. Then enter the XR1000 WAN IP from the System Information page into it. Arthurkulp
anyways here is the video of what’s happening and when I go to internet screen to see if my nat type is moderate or open it says right under it relay disconnected I’ll try to enable dmz on my modem when I get home to see if that fixes this I have a feeling it something else tho

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10 Administrators Share Posted November 10 Are you using port forwarding or the DMZ?
Arthurkulp
Just now, Netduma Fraser said: Are you using port forwarding or the DMZ? I tried both with no luck so right now I have both enabled and I’m using ip pass through to send the traffic from the modem to the router
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10 Administrators Share Posted November 10 That's probably the issue if you're trying to use three methods at the same time - remove the PC from the DMZ, that's a major security issue. Then see if it's better.
Arthurkulp
Ok and after you want me to get rid of the ports I forwarded and just put my modem in dmz mode or do you want me to put the xr router in dmz mode
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10 Administrators Share Posted November 10 You just need to put the XR in the DMZ on the modem. You should not put your PC in the DMZ on the XR.
Arthurkulp
Sadly that did not totally fix my issue I have a open nat now but I my relay is still disconnected

Arthurkulp
Nvm It did work I had geo filter on
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11 Administrators Share Posted November 11 Glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for the update. You should be able to get past that part with the Geo-Filter enabled though - have a look on the map for a server being blocked and add it to your allow list, you may need to do this a few times and then it'll work without disabling. If you could then provide the IDs of the servers we can add them to the global whitelist.
