Waiting for relay error Black ops 6 issue

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to play with y’all router and I have upnp enabled to get a open nat type my game always says relay disconnected now if I disable upnp and play on a moderate nat type everything works but it feels way more delayed then using a open nat type with upnp enable.and I can’t host my lobby’s on a moderate nat type either

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Could you provide a screenshot of that relay message please? Is the device directly connected to the router or through a switch, extender etc?

Sorry force of habit, I don't know if it has it or not and I wouldn't know the specific location of it. If you access it then it could be in Security settings. Otherwise if you refer to the manual it will tell you. Then enter the XR1000 WAN IP from the System Information page into it.

anyways here is the video of what’s happening and when I go to internet screen to see if my nat type is moderate or open it says right under it relay disconnected

I’ll try to enable dmz on my modem when I get home to see if that fixes this I have a feeling it something else tho

Are you using port forwarding or the DMZ?

I tried  both with no luck so right now I have both enabled and I’m using ip pass through to send the traffic from the modem to the router

You just need to put the XR in the DMZ on the modem. You should not put your PC in the DMZ on the XR.

Sadly that did not totally fix my issue I have a open nat now but  my relay is still disconnected

Glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for the update.

You should be able to get past that part with the Geo-Filter enabled though - have a look on the map for a server being blocked and add it to your allow list, you may need to do this a few times and then it'll work without disabling. If you could then provide the IDs of the servers we can add them to the global whitelist.
