ExcellentZERO
Hey Fraser and Netduma team. May I please request any older patches before .290 as I have lost them. My netduma is acting weird, it detects servers in my region (southern africa) as High ping servers in games. Such as cod, battlefield, Valorant All cape town servers show 225 ms ping as if my router is located outside of Africa and picks rhe furthers servers. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5 Administrators Share Posted November 5 It's unlikely to be a firmware problem: https://support.netduma.com/firmwares/netduma-r3/ Either you're experiencing local congestion which needs to be counteracted, ISP congestion/issues or the servers are misplaced - if you can provide the IDs I can double check. None of these would be solved by earlier firmware.
ExcellentZERO
Hey Fraser I did contact my ISP this weekend to do a reset on their part, they did but still continued. What are "IDs" so I can give the correct information to you.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5 Administrators Share Posted November 5 When you ping the server it will have a server ID it will be a short alphanumeric string

A bit of a heads up, DumaOS crashed about 5 times during the setup. multiple errors where I had to re-input every single setting... so that needs a lot of work I deleted the reports out of frustration. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5 Administrators Share Posted November 5 No worries! There is a newer version in Early Access you can try, but other than that we're testing a new firmware at the moment that should help with that so that'll probably be the next one

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 7 Administrators Share Posted November 7 Was this ID from a server appearing in SA? As it's from the US which would explain your ping. Let me know and I'll get the team to correct it.

Hi Fraser indeed it was not appearing in SA. but in Olympia America. yes this would explain my ping issues, and it started after .290 (.420 as well)
ExcellentZERO
Okay so Hi Fraser and Netduma team. Games like call of duty showed up in southern african region. just valorant is not showing up. I went back to firmware .219 I feel there my connection is more stable. But I think this is a DumaOS App? issue as I asked my ISP to help again yesterday. And they did another reboot on their side. I keep finding High ping games even with Steady ping disabled.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11 Administrators Share Posted November 11 Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you see when you get a game outside your radius please - disable Geo-Latency if you haven't already as that could be a cause. If I disable geo latency, I just can't log in into Valorant at all. 2024-11-11_20-57-42.mp4
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11 Administrators Share Posted November 11 Either some of the blocked servers need to be allowed to filter without Geo-Latency or the game can't be Geo-Filter normally at all which is what Geo-Latency can help with but you'll run that risk of connecting to servers outside your radius. I wouldn't run that risk to be honest. High ping games are why I got the Netduma for. I guess I will just have to deal with this for now. maybe something can be fixed in later patches.
