Vaex Darastrix
Hi Team, I just purchased my new R3 and attempted to connect it as my primary router but could not get it to access PPPoE I have it setup with ONT > R3 ISP have this on their support page for using 3rd party routers (I currently have XR1000 as my primary router) I managed to get it connected for a moment as it popped up with the firmware update to DumaOS 4.0.290 but since the update the PPPoE connection never restored I tried using Mac Address Cloning to close the MAC of my XR1000 but it still did not connect many factory resets with no success I have settled with using the R3 behind my XR1000 (ONT > XR1000 WAN > XR1000 LAN2 > R3 WAN) and it seems to be working but I want my whole house running through the R3 not just my computer and my phone Any ideas as to why its not working? I may need to contact my ISP to clear the MAC of my XR1000 so it registers the R3 but at the time of writing this support is closed for the day. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5 Administrators Share Posted November 5 Presumably you set the PPPoE details in the setup wizard, I believe there was an issue with it there on an early firmware. As you've now updated, update the PPPoE details - even if they appear to be the same in Settings on the router then save, connect it up direct to the ONT, reboot, wait 4 minutes then see if you get a connection. Vaex Darastrix
I tried that and after waiting over an hour there was no connection the connection status even taught there was no cable plugged in when there was

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 9 Administrators Share Posted November 9 I believe we know the cause and it's being fixed currently so should be in one of the next versions
