My r2 keeps dropping connection and rebooting randomly

Recommended Posts

Hi I have updated to the laitest firmware and since then it works fine for some time and then seems to reboot itself causing drop in connection due to rebooting.

I did a factory reset after the update and since but problem stil persists.

Any help would be great.

Cheers John

Hi Fraser,

I I did a factory reset and did all the setup and then tried the update but it did not work and it is still on the old version and is now stuck in a reboot loop.

Hi Fraser,

No error at all it just looks like it reboots itself after a matter of seconds after you start the firmware update but just stays at the last image I posted with the red spinning circle constantly spinning.

You can still access the router from anoter tab and it shows no change at all and that it has been online for some time so look's like it just reboots after you start the upgrade process.

All the best John

If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R2 (found on the System Information page) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN on the R2 and enable remote support in Settings. Then post back here from a device connected to the R2 when you've done that and I'll try to get a dev to remote force an upgrade for you either today or tomorrow.
