Mikesessions Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 I tried to set it in Amsterdam after my initial post and it was still just connecting to games outside my radius. I can’t see any settings for strict mode or ping assist within the EE app - do you know where I would find them?

Click the 3 dots top right of the screen when on the Geo-Filter page, do you see it there? If not could you provide a screenshot of what appears please
Mikesessions Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 Can’t see it in there. In the settings tab it only changes km to miles for the radius.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18 Administrators Posted September 18 It might be if you scroll the bottom section up instead, if not I'll have to double check what is included as they would be the normal reasons for the behavior you're having
Mikesessions Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 This is all that is on the app when you scroll down.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18 Administrators Posted September 18 Just checking in with the team and I'll come back to you, if you use country instead of simple does it work as expected?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18 Administrators Posted September 18 54 minutes ago, Mikesessions said: Nope it doesn’t work on that either. Okay thanks for trying, I'll come back to you when I've got some information from the team

Those features I mentioned aren't available, are you enabling the Geo-Filter after you've launched the game and are you changing Geo settings while on the game?
Mikesessions Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 I tried to change location after the game had been launched. I know fc26 has only just launched today - do you have a rough idea when the game boost will likely support this game? As it hasn’t as of today.
Mikesessions Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 Are there any updates on when fc26 will be supported on game boost for the WiFi enhancer? My connection is awful at the moment

If you do want to change Geo-Filter settings when you're on the game just make sure to reboot the game and then it will work as expected. On the Geo-Filter or the boost function?
Mikesessions Posted September 21 Author Posted September 21 Thanks mate. The boot function. Geo filter seems to be working since choosing options before booting game.

Okay thanks, may be that we need to do a cloud update, there are a few in the pipeline waiting for EE approval so it is likely it will be resolved fairly soon
Mikesessions Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 Hi, I can only seem to get Geo filter to show servers when connecting via WiFi and not Ethernet. Is this normal? Do you know if fc26 has been added to game boost on ee wifi enhancer?

Check the IP on the device itself when using ethernet then check the device you think it is on WiFi enhancer, if its not the same find the one that matches and re-name it so you know which one to use for the Geo-Filter. Not yet I don't think but should be rolling the cloud update out for it shortly
Mikesessions Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 Hi thanks for this. I am have managed to get it work with Ethernet. Gameplay was really good for a couple of days and it’s awful again now with the same country selected for servers. Do you know any reason why this would be?
Mikesessions Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 I have done some research online and it’s suggested that ea fc26 dynamically changes the ip and servers in the Netherlands cluster, this is what it said: You’re locking to the Netherlands, which genuinely has smoother EA servers. EE’s “Wi-Fi Enhancer” uses an older static cloud list of EA servers. When EA rotates to new Netherlands IPs, your enhancer either: Blocks them as “outside the radius,” or Routes through a relay hop to reach them. That creates invisible delay — not visible ping spikes, but extra routing time. Because the enhancer has no “Ping Assist” or “Spectator Mode,” you can’t automatically include new IPs, so it simply falls out of sync over time.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 30 Administrators Posted October 30 The AI summary there isn't correct, if you're still getting games with the exact same settings then it wouldn't be blocking anything. Are you getting the exact same ping? If so the relay hop also doesn't track, especially if you're seeing the server within your radius. Over the years FC has by far the worse track record of any game in terms of people being able to get consistent games regardless of the router they're using
Mikesessions Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 I think it’s only for authentication by why is it connecting to Brazil? And would that affect gameplay?

Very likely mislocated on the map but no it wouldn't affect your gameplay
Mikesessions Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 Thanks. I can’t seem to get any games without button delay on the wifi enhancer anymore. It used to have a couple with good connection now it’s unplayable again. Is it more likely to be the servers on ea side or an issue with isp routing?

Unlikely to be your routing, much more likely to be the servers, try forcing servers slightly further away even if your ping is higher as they may be more stable.
Mikesessions Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 I have tried pretty much all of them under 40 ping and they’re all poopy. Just confuses me how some people have smooth internet and a large number of people seem to have same issues as me.

Try over 40ms, it may seem a lot but you can still have a decent game up to 60ms I would say. There are lots of variables when it comes to networking, right down to the quality of the wiring connecting you to the exchange. Also for FC I hear the issue a lot regardless of setup so its definitely not just you
