Wi-Fi enhancer with EE makes gameplay worse than without

As the topic suggests, when I run the WiFi analyser and put it in game mode and use geo filtering my gameplay is actually worse. 
 

I have tried to all the servers in Europe as I live in the UK and they’re all unplayable.

What's the average ping you're seeing on the game/in the Geo-Filter? Is it a stable ping or does it fluctuate?

In game it varies from 18 - 30 but on geo filter is says ping to most servers is 6-8. It’s fairly stable

Okay that's really good, it is doing its job, what is it that makes your gameplay worse then exactly?

The input delay is the same if not worse than if I don’t use it all.

It's unlikely the router causing input delay at that low a ping, could you describe your gaming setup please? What are you playing, on what platform, what monitor/TV, controller/mouse/keyboard etc

I’m using a Xbox series x with a lg tv on 4k 60 frames, Ethernet cable, I’ve used it with 120hz monitor and no difference. I only play fifa or ea fc. When I first seti it up it was incredible. Then after a day or 2 it went back to being awful again.

In networking terms all your stats are great and don't indicate that lag would be present.

It's a common complaint about those games regardless of how good the ping is, it's all over the EA forums, try this: https://gamerant.com/ea-sports-fc-25-reduce-fix-lag/ when a solution is to reduce the graphics mode on a console that's not a good sign.

I have done all of the advice from ea. it just confuses me how it was really good one the first day of ee wifi analyser and ever since its been awful.

Yeah I saw that as a comment as well, they tried direct to their modem without other devices connected, it was better, for a few days then returned. They tried through a mobile hotspot, even with the much higher ping it was better, then returned. The only thing I can think of is that you're being lag compensated, I know you said you tried all servers in the UK/EU and I know it seems like the opposite of what you should do and it is but try forcing servers in the US, do you have a better experience?

The same way you're forcing the EU servers just move your location over to the US and adjust the radius

My ping is well over 100 on us servers.

It will be yes and I know it's counter intuitive but what is the input delay like?

Heavy. Even worse than Europe.

Thanks for trying, you said "when I run the WiFi analyser and put it in game mode and use geo filtering my gameplay is actually worse." so do you mean that if you don't use WiFi Analyser and use Game Mode/Geo it is better? If it is, if you try it over 4 days does it return to being delayed?

No it seems to have a better connection if I reset the router and don’t have the wifi analyser set up through the EE app.

You've had no delays whatsoever without it enabled over the weekend?

Hi I am still having issues with this, I have the game a break for a while and I had 4 or 5 games with good connection and it’s awful again.

Did you check what the connection was like over a significant amount of time without enhancer active?

Possibly, we would have done some updates since then, perhaps it did resolve it for them
