Residuals Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 I’ve recently got my r3 and I’ve been tweaking this geo filter for the longest, like the past 4 days I’ve denied it trying to place me in servers that says Norfolk Virginia when I’m all the way in Tennessee I’m Central servers which is Dallas Tx. The geo filter for Fortnite needs updated it doesn’t even show the central servers for me to connect to, only the east servers which I’m not even close to.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 17, 2024 Administrators Posted October 17, 2024 Central servers are showing on Heatmap for me, what are you not seeing? The Geo-Filter won't always show the servers on the map, for Fortnite especially, the way Fortnite works is that it only tries to connect to a server when you're actually loading into the game and so that is the only time it can be blocked so you are kicked back to the lobby. Couple of things you can do: Utilize Geo-Latency, this can get you games outside your radius still but is more effective for games like this that don't work well for traditional filtering. Disable filtering mode but still use it to find out what server you're on, if it's too far away then you could quit and re-search until you find the server you want. This may be quicker than letting the Geo-Filter kick you.
Residuals Posted October 17, 2024 Author Posted October 17, 2024 okay and how do i go about trying to only get those specific servers and not others do i just keep them on denied?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 18, 2024 Administrators Posted October 18, 2024 Remove them from denied, have Geo-Latency enabled and use the simple radius as usual but again it may not work 100%
