extremeborg
R3 loses ppoe connection every 24 hrs, after i rebbot it works normally, what could be the problem?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4 Administrators Share Posted October 4 Could you get the log when it happens please? Most likely if it's happening on that schedule your IP may be renewing then - how long do you leave it before rebooting - does it come back naturally? extremeborg
No, only if i reboot r3, i can try to get log file my modem is on bridge mode, and r3 cinnects via ppoe, r2 was working great for 4 years
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4 Administrators Share Posted October 4 Do provide the log when you can, might be worth setting a static WAN IP if your public IP stays the same, otherwise may be best to use the DMZ instead for the moment until we figure it out

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8 Administrators Share Posted October 8 Please both of you try this firmware specifically to see if it resolves the issue: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/?do=findComment&comment=424833

Does the connection regain itself or do you need to reboot? Sounds like it might be DHCP if it's that scheduled

I even had my ISP intervene twice to check the optical cabinet, and I had my ONT replaced this morning, but the problem persists. The issue is as follows: there’s a loss of LAN signal between the ONT and the Netduma R3. When I log into the R3 after disconnection, both the PPPoE Internet Status and Internet Port show as "Offline." A simple reboot of the R3 reconnects it. This problem occur randomly, sometimes twice or more a day sometimes one or two times during the week... Not every 24h as extremeborg problem For reference, there’s no switch in my setup; the ONT is connected directly to the R3's WAN port. @kaptakiller and @extremeborg, did the .291 firmware resolve your issues? I’d love to test it if it could help fix my problem. Thanks in advance!

We are looking into that issue for the PPPoE disconnect but I've given you access to try it to try it and see if it is more stable for you
Julian83
Hi, My R3 keeps disconnecting from WAN. At first it was happening occasionally but now it's very frequent. It also disconnected my user and password, it was set to "remember me". I had reset it and configured the PPPoE again, now it's happening very often. It goes back online if I let it be for a while but mostly I manually reboot it and then it goes back up. What's the solution here? Thanks
