Murpdog54
Hi, I have tried everything disabling all settings in NetDuma R3 DumaOS and also factory reset, but I am getting like 200Mbps less download speed with NetDuma than with my Netgear R7800 router. I have also tried with just my desktop 14900ks, Asus Z790 Strix Gaming-E Wifi II motherboard connected via Ethernet directly to Netduma R3 with my Google Fiber that has 1Gbps up/down and I am getting around 700-750Mbps download when I usually get around 940 Mbps download speed on my Netgear R7800 router. I don't have UPNP enabled or Smartboost. I have ensured my connection is providing 940Mbps download when using my desktop pc connected directly to my ISP Google Fiber. I have also updated my firmware to the latest available public firmware here on the forum. Please advise otherwise I will have to return this router and I would expect a return shipping label as this router is not capable of 1Gbps download. Also Geo-Filtering does not work with Micorsoft Xbox Game Pass on PC playing MW3, how do I get this to work? Geofiltering is not reccognizing I am even playing the game. Please add me so I can download beta firmware, I will give it a try but based on what I read so far i don't think it will help me.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 6, 2024 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2024 Sorry to hear you've not had a great experience so far, this is a common starting issue and usually very easily resolved. I have added you to Early Access as requested and you do have a response regarding game pass with PC that someone else responded to. I can see you've emailed as well so I'll reply to you more fully there.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 6, 2024 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2024 Of course, what is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the R3 or are some still connected to your modem? Have you set the expected 1000/1000 speeds into the router? Why aren't you using UPnP exactly? How are you not using SmartBOOST, you just removed any of the rules? How do you have Congestion Control set in Ping Optimizer > Advanced? Direct connection (no modem or other router between ISP Google Fiber Connection direct to NetDuma R3. 2. R3 is in DHCP mode, (no modem at all in my network) 1 bridge router that is it on my network for wifi connection upstairs) 3. Using UPnP I get even slower speeds 4. SmartBoost is not enabled, no rules created 5. Ping Optimizer - Expert, Run Full Test enabled, Congestion control 100% for Download and Upload of 1Gbps, Low Latency (Auto mode actually slows my speed), and Speed Test Bypass is enabled 6. Updated to latest early release firmware v4.0.273. 7. Was able to change pc to console to connect to specific US COD servers, but if I wanted to play in other countries I thought this was possible - this isn't working still connects to US servers. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 6, 2024 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2024 I'm surprised about UPnP. Where are you testing the speeds, the router speed test or speedtest.net for example? Disable SmartBOOST fully for the menu then re-test, what do you get? You can (though that's not the intended function), you have to restart the game first if you make any changes to the Geo-Filter.

So no answer on how to get full speed for me, about 100Mbs slower than I should be, is this a limitation of the router?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 6, 2024 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2024 There are many servers clustered in the same locations, it would take you a long time to block them all to filter that way, better to use the radius to do so. The connection needs to be severed completely, if you're playing on PC this would include closing the game client, game pass, steam etc from the system tray. Where are you actually testing the speeds? Disable the protection options in troubleshooting settings, that can boost the speeds. We don't have instant replies but we will reply when we can, including out of hours/weekends.
