Recommended Posts

Good day frazer and team.

I have been currently experiencing problems where the netduma disconnects all devices from the internet certain times of the day and a reboot is required.

current Duma OS is 4.0.236

the image attached is the system logs on the R3.

this error is reoccuring.

Could you try the firmware here please? https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/?do=findComment&comment=420716 it doesn't seem to have fixed it for people but it may work better for you

Hi fraser

doing it as we speak should I keep you updated, in the next following days?

Yes please, we are looking into the issue as a priority. We have identified a few potential causes, do any of these apply to you:

  1. Use of a network switch
  2. Use of very long ethernet cables
  3. Initiating a large download prior to the disconnect

I use very long ethernet cables but only to my xbox, shorter ones to the router (WAN is short)

but it seems this update is not giving any internet connection since I use the R3 as the main router.

I will revert to previous firmware.

Could you try without that long cable and just use the Xbox on WiFi for the a few days and see if it stays online when it would have usually disconnected?

oh no this just does it too all devices, even ones connected to wifi.

phones, etc.

this is not just my xbox. like it blocks out the internet completely.

I get that but we've identified just using long cables can cause it, regardless of what it is connected to/causes to disconnect

I see but now I am currently facing issues on the router where it bypasses pppoe and gives and error that says that I cannot use certain features because they are missing after reverting back to 4.0.236.

is there a way to factory reset the router to default.

What features are they exactly? Hold the reset button in the back of the router for 30 seconds, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface and it'll then take you through the Setup Wizard.
