Unable to connect to EA servers. - Apex Legends

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to use the geo-filter on Apex Legends and it's been a headache.

Basically I included only the Bahrain servers and now I can't run the game

So I tried resyncing the cloud and then running the game again, and it loaded and logged me in.

But I would connect to servers outside my radius and then get kicked out.

This problem seems to happen all the same with Halo MCC and Halo Infinite.

So since this problem is included in my other thread, maybe you guys should merge both threads into that one.

Using the Geo-Filter for Apex is a bit hit or miss really. When you get that error do you see anything outside your radius being blocked?

Yes, and I tried to allow them but then I would find a game from those allowed servers.

Right okay so I think it's more akin to something like Fortnite, I suspect if you keep trying to connect it will eventually let you in or it could be that the player count for that server is low and that's why it is trying to get you in a different server. Have you ever been able to connect to it without the Geo or can you not tell?

I used to not be able to tell because I had no way of knowing.

But now that I can tell I'm never in a Bahrain server, sometimes even US which is outside my radius.

Disable Filtering mode so you can still see servers and see if you can get Bahrain without the Geo-Filter impacting the search

I did that and I got an Amsterdam server.

That's weird so you can connect to that server but it's actively forcing you onto another one for games - I suspect they use it as a backup/overflow server then in times when the game population is high - what's the next nearest/lowest ping server to you and can you connect more reliably to that one?

Frankfurt. But I tried to include it with the Bahrain servers and eventually got a US server and kicked out.

If you keep the filter disabled for a few games do you ever get put in the US or does it always put you somewhere in Europe?

Always Europe. Weird

  • Administrators
  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search
  • Use Simple instead of Custom radius

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and see if you can force Bahrain then or at least prevent yourself getting those US servers.
