Serbian Gamer
I need help with the Geo-Filter. I am grateful to anyone who wants to help me find a solution to my problem. I got a Netduma R3 two weeks ago with the latest Firmware 219. Everything worked great for 5 days and I was very happy that my game progressed and I no longer had delays in the game... and suddenly problems started happening. I tried everything I knew and couldn't get things right. It's about the fact that my PS5 started to go outside the Geo-Filter. I tried all possible methods: Geo-Latency off, Ping Assist 0-0, Strict mode on, Fast Search off. It didn't work that way! I also tried another method: I tried to delete my device from the geo filter and I did Resync Cloud after that, Reboot the R3 and Sony's database delete, again accepted the device in the Geo Filter and waited 10 minutes and started the game. That didn't help either. I did a hard reset, that didn't help either. I tried all of the above again and did a factory reset, but it didn't help either. I'm desperate, please help!! P.S. Geo-Filter is always set to simple mode. P.S. I forgot to mention that my IP address in Device Manager is the same as the one in PS5.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 23 Administrators Share Posted June 23 Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you're seeing when you're getting a game outside your radius please? What game are you playing? Were any settings changed prior to the issue happening?

I tried other servers and the same thing happens. I'm from Serbia and it works best for me when I connect to servers in Germany. But only once about 10 days ago it stopped working. Otherwise, on servers in Germany I had a ping of about 30-35ms and the game was working really great for me, but once everything stopped. I tried in every way to solve it and I didn't succeed. I did everything that was written on the forum in detail and it didn't help me. By the way. While I'm in the game and while I'm playing the game itself, that is, the match in the game, it says that I'm not connected. And it wasn't like that. For the first few days, everything worked great, without any errors. It said ping and that the connection was stabilized and everything was ok. The game used to be fluid, but now it isn't. Such a ping of 60-70ms is not good for playing Efootball. For some reason everything just stopped. Nothing was touched, it just suddenly stopped working. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 23 Administrators Share Posted June 23 The server outside does appear to be blocked - can you use a PC to access instead and zoom out fully on the map? Your radius is very strict so it might be forcing you outside due to that through a relay server, expand your radius to cover a couple of servers and see whether it is more consistent. Serbian Gamer
@Netduma Fraser I tried blocking servers outside of my radius but it had no effect. It keeps connecting me to servers in other countries. I had the best connection on servers in Germany, but it won't connect me there for several days. And when I bought Netduma R3 it worked normally. It only connected me to the servers in Germany that I wanted. And then more than once it didn't want to. By the way, here's what happens while I'm in the game itself. So the game is Efootball and I play online divisions. It's not a game in the room. Here is what happens during the match itself while playing an online match. I recorded that too. You have a clip of how the geo filter doesn't work, and another clip below of what happens during the match while I'm in the game. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24 Administrators Share Posted June 24 The circles outside the radius before you get into the game indicate they've been connected to before the filter was applied/changed. Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works. I already tried that. Just like this, in this order, as written, and I followed every detail. It didn't work.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24 Administrators Share Posted June 24 Do you have your device in the R3 DMZ or have you got the VPN enabled? Port forwarding rules, Internet Rule for it etc?

Port forwarding rules, Internet Rule for it etc? I put my R3 router in the DMZ on the provider's router. And I set the PS5 to R3 in the DMZ. I don't use a VPN. UpnP is also included. Automatically, Upnp opens the port for PSN network 9308 UDP and for the game Efootball 31887 UDP. As for manually opening ports from 1 to 65535, I did not touch anything. These days my provider will put their router in bridge mode. Maybe that's the problem. The router of the provider is not yet in bridge mode, but it is interesting that for the first 6-7 days everything worked normally. I only played on the servers I wanted and had no problems with the Geo-filter. Edited June 24 by Serbian Gamer Added text
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24 Administrators Share Posted June 24 The R3 being in the DMZ on the providers router is fine, it doesn't need to be in bridge. If you remove the PS5 from the DMZ on the R3 does it fix the issue?
Serbian Gamer
I haven't tried it. I will test it and let you know if the Geo-filter worked with the DMZ turned off. Should I leave UpNp on? Or should I turn it off? It is on by default.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24 Administrators Share Posted June 24 You should leave it on, keep us posted! Serbian Gamer

Geo-filter still not working for EFootball. I turned off the DMZ and nothing helped. It still throws me on non-Geo-filter servers. Servers where the ping is 70-80ms, which is very bad. Then I tried with Upnp turned off and that didn't help either. I do not know what to do. I'm afraid I wasted my money on this router. For me from Serbia, it cost 350 pounds, which is not a small amount of money, especially for us from Serbia. You are great guys, but unfortunately I don't think there is a solution for Efootball. Lyuboosik
Sometimes I've had this issue, what I do now is resync cloud whenever this issue happens, right after I sync the cloud I search for a match and it works normally.

I set it to 3 servers. One is Switzerland-Bern, and two are Italy. Milan and Livorno. My ping to them is about 30-35ms. And it threw me somewhere far away where I didn't want to be. What I noticed is that there are cities on the ping heat map that are not on the geo filter. An example on the ping heat map for Germany shows me the city of Frankfurt, and on the Geo-Filter it shows me the cities of Mainz and Potsdam for Germany. I don't know what it's about. I synchronize both and wait for 10 minutes after that, but it doesn't help 7 hours ago, Serbian Gamer said: It didn't help me. Serbian Gamer
I still have a problem with Efootball. Namely, on the Ping Heat map it shows me the best servers Frankfurt 32ms, Bern 35ms, Milan 31ms and so on. 5-6 servers with ping in the range of 32-40ms, but when I go to Geo-Filter there are no servers at all. More precisely, some are there and some are not, but for those that are there, both on the ping heat map and on the geo-filter it says that my ping is much higher. It says that the ping is 80ms on the geo-filter, and 35ms on the ping heat map. For example, in Germany, the cities on the Geo-Filter are Mainz and Potsdam, and the ping heat map shows me that it has a Frankfurt server and that the ping is 33ms. How is it possible that there is a Frankfurt server on the ping heat map, but it is not there at all on the Geo-Filter? And why does the ping heat map show me servers with ping in the range of 30ms to 40ms, for servers that are closer to me. And when I go to Geo-Filter, every server shows me that the ping is around 70ms+. I don't understand what is happening. Can you help me? The game works really bad for me. If it worked well for me, I really wouldn't have a problem. The first few days after purchase it worked perfectly. I connected to the server I wanted, the ping was ok. Steady ping was on and every match on Efootball always worked well for me. Every time I go to Search Match it says Finding Host and it always finds it and stabilizes the ping. Can you help me please?
