Here we are talking about Public IP not local IP and a reboot may be necessary

Could you disable IPv6 on their router and the R3, reboot then check again please?

I'd contact them about the static IP then as it's clearly not working as it should

Ive ended up setting the R3 as my main. Got linksys hooked up to that. Ive got open nat and ipv4&6. But latency is insane

just had another tinker. Wondered what it would be like on wireless. Speeds were down but latency low. Added device to geo filter. Latency up. Did this a few times and checked just to be sure. Everytime i add it to geo filter. Latency hits almost 200.

Checking latency on xbox. It shows in game that it bad also. Bad lag. I remove geo filter and its fine.
straight from wall to R3. Xbox straight in R3.
the linksys is still in bridge mode at moment. Connected to the R3 and kept its nodes. How should i set up the linksys. Didnt knw i could use netduma as a main router for isp

The Linksys shouldn't be in bridge mode in that situation, you'll have to check with the nodes really on how the router needs to be set.

The Geo-Filter itself wouldn't increase ping just by being on, unless you have Steady Ping enabled perhaps?

It says for linksys to run in bridge for ap mode. The latency deff goes up wen switch geo filter on/off.
i can try turning steady ping off. See if helps

Very bizarre, any luck when disabling that option?

Yeah bud and it seems to be working with ping stabiliser turned off. Thanking you.
why would that bother the latency so much?

By it's very nature it increases the ping to provide more stability

It shouldn't do it by that much but perhaps it was using expert mode at the time which can increase it a lot. It's disabled by default in firmwares going forward due to people getting a higher ping and not understanding why.

Hi fraser. My xbox still seems fine and dandy. R3 set as main router. Linskys as secondary in ap/bridge mode. So still same setup. I have open and ipv4/6 on both routers. My son however. His xbox shows double nat and strict on both routers. Totally bizzare. Any help on this. His lobbies are laggy as hell.

Okay so R3 as main router is that plugged into a pure modem or the upstream router is in bridge or has R3 in its DMZ?

On the R3 itself how have you setup for an Open NAT or have you not made any changes at all in that regard?

R3 is plug direct into wall, isp fttp socket. Linksys then plugged to R3 in bridge mode which is same ap mode it says on their site.

i set it up using vlan and put my xbox in dmz as you guys mentioned to do. Dont know what happens if i take that off.

Okay thanks, just checking, it's the DMZ option for your console that is doing it. First, remove that, then check both, do they receive an Open NAT? If not then you'll need to do port forwarding for each console, one with 3074 and the other 3075, reboot and check again.

Righty. Im strict/moderate sometimes double nat. My son is open.
i had port 3075. He had other.

righty. I think ive done it. Made an internet rule for our 2 xbox. Added on port. Both now open. Hope stays like this.

Okay so actually, keep their Xbox as is and keep the port forwarding rule for it, then on your Xbox, on the actual console itself go to Settings -> Network -> Advanced -> then manual and choose a different port. Once you've done that make the complimentary port forwarding rule for it on the router and check again.

Hi fraser. All that seemed to work just fine. We both open. Been tested. Only issue we face now is download speeds. I have gb up and down. This is what im getting on xbox right now. Does sometimes hit about 100 or so. But goes back down. Dony get this issue if had linksys as main router and plug into that. Speeds are great that way which if i contact my isp they would tell me to do that and not mention anything about the duma. Ive taken off xbox download and gaming as priority to see if that helps. It doesnt. Made download priority. No change.
this is all wired. I would expect awesome speeds.
