Router randomly blocks internet to wired ethernet connections

For the past 2-3 months I have had an issue where out of nowhere my router will suddenly drop the ethernet connection but the wifi will remain up and running with no interruptions.

I have not made any changes to any of the router's settings out of the box other than the Geo filter.

When I go to device manager in settings the connection status says excellent with a green wired ethernet icon but no internet connectivity. I can reboot my router and everything will be back to normal but I shouldn't have to do this once a week as my Netgear Nighthawk XR300 never had any issues. But for some reason my Netduma R3 Router does.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest firmware we just published here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/55635-new-r3-firmware-40219 and see if you still get the same issue

So I updated to 4.0.219 and the ethernet connection was blocked again. The wifi is still up and running with no issues.

Give it a factory reset as it'll be a big change from the version you were on then check again please

Okay I just factory reset my router and I will let you know if I have any more issues.

So I just had to perform a reboot due to the ethernet connectivity just randomly going out on this router for the 8th time since I have had it and the wifi remained connected.

Is there anything specific you can think of that happens at the time, e.g. a particular device is connected, specific internet traffic etc?

When this had occurred I was watching a twitch stream on my PC. I had my Cisco Meraki and PC wired to my router but neither one had anything intensive using up the bandwidth running on them.

I also have this issue, I've been having to unplug the wired device and plug back in or change ports on the back of the router

Nothing significant there I don't think, if you still have access could you get the logs when it next happens please? If you don't have access this link should work instead http://192.168.77.1/cgi-bin/logs.txt

I just had my ethernet connection drop again while wifi remains up and running. Here is the logs...

I've also given you Early Access so you can see this topic: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/ where the devs are actively trying to get remote access to routers when the issue happens so they can diagnose more so please consider posting there when it happens/keep any eye on the topic for up to date news direct from the devs on the issue.
