Hi

I seem to disconnect from the Internet around midnight every night but it still says im connected via ethernet. Normally when you completely disconnect it gives a different icon. It's like my internet freezes. I noticed this has been happening since I turned off QoS but surely this shouldn't affect anything as QoS limits my internet speeds as Im on 1000 up/down and it limits me to 100 up/down

Any potential fixes for this

In LAN Settings, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects.

If your issue is local congestion then yes disabling QoS could allow the issue to happen so would be best to enable it - it shouldn't limit you that much, set Congestion Control to 70%

hi

thanks for the swift reply. I wont lie this all confuses me. When you say type to start at .50 and then assign the reversed IP addresses i dont know what im doing its not as easy as following what you said

Where it says "Starting IP address" in the last box where it says 2 change that to 50.

Then under address reservation click Add, then give your devices any number between 2 and 49, once you've done them all apply and reboot the router
