Hi there new to the forum so hello,

Recently i saw a thread about getting an open nat type in call of duty. i saw a cooment from fraser saying to copymy ip address from the wan page on R3 and type into my home hub DMZ. Hey presto it worked. But today my Nats gone back to moderate. Is this due to my pc not having a static ip?

i am not pc or network savy so need a checklist to do so i can get my nat to stay open for COD......

If you've rebooted the R3 then it's quite possible the WAN IP has changed, double check the WAN IP then check the IP in the DMZ, if needed update it and then it should work again

Also just to note. I got 5.4ms ping but all games are laggy for me. Seem to lose every gun battle with shoot first die first scenario

Did you make any specific settings for the PC to get an OpenNAT previously?

Where are you seeing that ping, on the Geo-Filter or in game?

The in game ping should be higher than the speedtest ping, is that not the case? Are you connecting to a super close server? You might be being lag compensated in which case forcing a server slightly further away with a higher ping might provide a better experience.

agree. There's a lag or acceleration (you can say it) when you get shot you don't realize you're getting bullets until it starts shoot you really fast.Tried different settings and still the same.i play COD. ver.4.0.179.

I can try. The in game is usually higher yes. Getting the open Nat though?  Is there no way?

If the DMZ IP definitely matches the R3 WAN IP then try port forwarding and see if you can get an Open NAT that way.
