Geo-Filter works 50% of the time

Recommended Posts

I have my geo-filter setup over the central U.S (see photo). Steady ping is enabled, geo-latency enabled, strict mode enabled, and filtering enabled. I’m still connecting to servers outside my geo-filter. Why is this feature not working as intended, and how is it fixed?

I personally use these settings. I'm on 170 Firmware and I have no problems with the filter. If you are on one of the older versions, ask @Netduma Fraser to add you to early access to one of the newer versions. There are two 179 and 170. I use 170 because VPN. Screenshot_20240521_093218.thumb.jpg.fdb6563fb11e8a1fcebb6bafed6f1348.jpg

What I have seen so far on this Forum is that - what happens to one, does not necessarily happen to the other. Everything with this router is very strange. I have a problem that Steady Ping does not work at all.

  • Administrators

How is it you're on .170 when you've not been added to Early Access?

  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search
  • Use Simple instead of Custom radius

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

You sent me a link for the .170 firmware when I asked about returning it.

I'll implement your suggestions and update at a later time.

It appears to be working now. Thank you.
