digital_steve
Why do modules in the software just stop and never work again until you hard reset? Previously I've had DHCP fail, now the ping optimiser just doesn't work at all even after rebooting and whatever the Netduma is trying to do is just adding latency and packet loss. I'm a bit over having to hard reset this thing weekly.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 16 Administrators Share Posted May 16 Disconnects should be resolved, are you still experiencing this with the Early Access version? The Ping Optimizer servers may not always be available and so can fail sometimes, we're rewriting the feature as well currently. Where are you seeing additional latency/packet loss etc and how much is added. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Can do today if that’s helpful. im seeing it in cod mw3 both multiplayer and warzone. It adds 50+ ms of latency and packet issues. The R3 is the main router. I’m in Australia so the R3 connects to my NBN box (fibre to the premises) and my deco mesh network is wired to the R3 so the R3 doesn’t have to manage wifi. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 17 Administrators Share Posted May 17 Yeah do try Early Access. Have you disabled Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter? As that can increase latency. What do you have Congestion Control set to?

What do you have Congestion Control set to? Updated to EA firmware. DHCP stopped working so had to reset it anyway. No, I have steady ping on. I’ve got that on as per the advice on CoD MW3 setup for better hit reg. Congestion control as set between 73 and 97%. I’ve set it to 50% and it seemed to be working today and had a better buffer bloat score.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 18 Administrators Share Posted May 18 That's great to hear, do keep us updated. If the latency is too high do disable Steady Ping and see if it is better then.
