Have PS5 show up on NetDuma R3

Recommended Posts

I have my PC connected to my NetDuma R3 Using Ethernet and my PS5 connected to my PCs network but my PS5 isnt showing on the router settings or anywhere is it possible to have my PS5 shown or no? I have to use my PCs internet for this so I know PS5 will show if its directly connected to the router but I need it to use my PCs internet for this specific task so like I said before is it possible?

Hi,

So your internet connection comes into your R3, goes through your PC and then to your PS5, correct? So that means the PC in between the R3 and the PS5.

Devices can only be seen by DumaOS if they're using a DumaOS assigned IP. By default, this is an IP within the 192.168.77.x range. I imagine your PC must have it's own DHCP pool, so the PS5 will have an IP address assigned to it by the PC, rather than by the R3.

You may be able to get it working by simply geo-filtering your PC, and the block should hopefully affect the PS5 as well. This hasn't been tested so I can't guarantee it would work. If you were to set your PC to a console in the DumaOS Device Manager, you could add it to geo-filter as if it was a console.

It may be possible to disable DHCP on your PC so that the PS5 gets an DumaOS IP address, but that may prevent you from doing anything with the traffic on your PC.
