How to use Geo Filter correctly?

Recommended Posts

I understand how to use the geo filter to a level and think its great, it really has improved my Call of Duty experience but delving deeper I've still not worked out how to allow and deny correctly....

When I connect to a server all the info pops up and I have the option to give the server a name & allow or deny which is great but I don't know if the server I am going to be playing on is a good one or bad one until i've played that game by which time the option to allow or deny is no longer available.

What tell tail signs make a good server to click allow or deny?

Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated 👍

The allow/deny function is really meant for two things:

  1. To allow any servers that may be required for online play/party chat (we should have this done for you in the cloud 99% of the time) and to allow any servers you thought were particularly good so you can connect to them in future regardless of your Geo-Filter settings
  2. To deny any bad servers

The game ping should be lasting the entirety of the game so you should have time during the game to allow/deny depending on your experience but yes if you wait until the game is over then the ping will disappear as you'll no longer be connected to that server.

Hi Fraser thanks for the input 👍 I play on series X and have a webpage on the series X which I flick over to inbetween games so on the most part once the game starts I don't look what's going on in Geofilter. I will try and setup a laptop which will probably make life easier when it comes to allow and deny. Thanks
