Traffic blocking

Are there any issues with blocking traffic? I am blocking the device, in this case my son's chromebook according to a schedule and it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something? Blocking traffic at the device manager works.

You'll need to make a schedule to block the traffic, as it mentions there the allow is to allow it to bypass other block rules. As there is no block state the default state is to not do anything with the traffic - like your devices, you didn't make any rules to specifically allow them to work. So change it to block and schedule hours 4pm - 10am and it should work.
