I'm already R3 using DMZ, but I found this mode in secret menu of the modem.

Should I enabled it or better let R3 in DMZ?

If you use the R3 as your main router with all of your devices behind it, this is an option to try!

I'm asking because there is written

"Attention: enabling GPON-Bridge mode you will lost internet connection and the Fastgate (name of the ISP modem/router) will be unaccessible by browser. It will be necessary an adding router connected to Fastgate to re-establish internet connection"

So... Do I try?

It might be a good idea to contact your ISP's support team. They will certainly be able to tell you what is required for the R3 to be able to establish the connection. I could imagine that the ISP will need the Mac address of the R3 anyway.

This is due to Italian legislation which requires ISPs to allow their customers to use their own hardware instead of the ISP router.
You should find documents on the procedure to follow on the ISP's website. At worst you can always go back!
