bayleeshymko
Ok so after a long week of completely deep diving into the canadian internet this is what i have found for anyone having trouble:) First and foremost go on amazon and buy the 10Gtek Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter. Once that comes in unplug the telus ISP Ont/Modem and disconnect the fibre line CAREFULLY. Plug the fibre into the converter with the SFP Module you pull out of the telus box and plug it into the media converter. Let that boot up and let it show that you have fibre connected. Then plug you computer into the media converter and run a speedtest make sure you are getting full speeds. Then unplug your PC and plug in the R3 to the media converter and boot the R3 up. Plug PC into the R3 and login to DumaOS. Go thru the setup like normal, however in the setup put your location and disable all RGB on the router. Disable steady ping. Go to WAN settings and change MTU to 1500 as well as disable upsteam dns and use whatever public DNS server works best for you. For me it is 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 Go into ping optimizer and disable speedtest bypass and turn congestion control to always on. Use speedtest.net and see what your bufferbloat is, and configure in the ping optimizer accordingly. Reboot router, disable steady ping and speedtest bypass again and enjoy:)
