Ethernet connected but no internet

I turn on the ethernet on my pc and I am unable to browse the internet. However, when I turn off ethernet and just use Wi-Fi I am able to browse the internet. I did a factory reset but it did not fix it. I changed the ethernet cable that did not work. I unplugged the router and plugged it back in and that did not work.

Have you set a static IP on the PC or router at all? If you wait ~30 seconds after turning on the PC does the internet then work?

I have not done this, how do I do this.

I don't want you to do so I was just checking as it could have been a potential reason. If you wait that 30 seconds does it then work?

The ethernet has started working again now. Not sure how but at least its working.

It’s doing it again now, this is extremely frustrating. I sent an email for a return request.

It's probably something simple, we've barely troubleshooted but I'll respond to you there
