spacialrend
I use a Google Wifi router which serves as my primary router. I've used an ethernet cable to connect this router to the Netduma R3 as a secondary router and from there use the 4 LAN ports to connect to other devices that I game on etc. The speeds from the Google Wifi Router are varying in certain areas of my home, but in those same locations the speeds from the R3 are superior. Does this simply mean the R3 has superior range but still acts as the secondary router? I'm trying to optimize the speeds in different areas of my house by also using a TP-Link repeater but introducing that reduces my speeds drastically and as such I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there's interference between both these routers that's hampering speeds
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 12 Administrators Share Posted March 12 There further away from a router generally the less speed/strength/range you will have - if the R3 is basically next to the G Router then it's better hardware, if it's a little further away it could be better hardware or more placement. It's hard to advise without knowing the physical layout of the home

It's hard to advise without knowing the physical layout of the home Thanks for the response. The R3 is right next to the G router, and well in this context there's only 1 room with slow speeds which is about 10-12 feet away. What's interesting is that the corner of this room which is separated by a wall to the other room where the routers are give me way better speeds but the heart of the room gives me slower speeds lol

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 12 Administrators Share Posted March 12 No interference that way, that is how they should be connected. If you can move the R3 to the other side of the room, that may help with the slow speeds in the other room spacialrend
