Moto67
I’m playing Fortnite on Xbox series x and I keep getting connected to Washington DC servers. In the ping heat map, I don’t see any Washington DC Fortnite servers but you can see that I’m up to ten blocked. Is this a bug? The reason I am trying to avoid Washington DC servers (not shown in heat map) is because ping heat map shows great connection to Norfolk Virginia servers. Im on the latest firmware 4.0.
ChrisG82
I would rather say that one of the two adverts is simply wrong. They will be the same servers.

Im on the latest firmware 4.0.41 Connecting you to this server because this is Xbox Microsoft server this is nothing to do with fortnite or games you playing this servers is for Xbox and Microsoft service like game pass voice party and more it's not possible to block this server otherwise you will have issues with voice party and other things
Moto67
Thanks. With Washington DC being an xbox server, is it possible to see which Fortnite server I am connected to?
xNotTheBestJedi
The server you are connected while ingame should appear as a white controller icon on the map. White circles represent pings to other servers, like the xbox and NAT servers you are not connected to these. The yellow triangles are blocked servers. Hope this helps. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 15 Administrators Share Posted February 15 It's most likely an authentication server in that location - when you see it do you have another icon appear on the map within your radius?

xNotTheBestJedi
Do you have GeoLatency on? if so, turn it off. Does the icon looks like a white circle with a black check sign before it connects or just a full white circle?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 16 Administrators Share Posted February 16 Not an authentication server then no, do you have the ID for it? Then I can check its location. If you disable Geo Latency filtering won't work at all for Fortnite

If you disable Geo Latency filtering won't work at all for Fortnite I will check this weekend. The other 10 Washington servers showing in the same location are in my original post/photo above, in case that info is helpful. This would be the 11th one if I were to deny it.
