Ever since the firmware update, I'm getting some packet loss in call of duty. It's start to get irritating. I'm noticing that some of the cpu, they have high usage during in game. Is that normal? I'm getting so tired with this router. Is there an fix to this issue?

Jesus, damn I thought I was the only one. The packet loss and packet burst make this game so inconsistent. The hit detection is just a gamble with this game. It's just weird that I never experienced packet loss before the firmware update

COD Servers today have the worst performance in Resurgence in a long time, closest server to my location is Miami usually  60 - 70 ms. Today Ping in Netduma 72ms, Ping in Game: 212ms, rubberbanding and lagging the whole day since the update. Only Multiplayer have the usual performance.

Update: Ranked servers perfectly fine. They gave the crappy servers to Pubs

I have been experienced packet burst and packet loss since I update to the new firmware. So about 3 days since. So unless the cod servers has been in the dumpster for the past three days then I'm feeling optimistic about the r3 being a good router. Nevertheless, I do agree that cod servers are terrible.

In regards to the high CPU usage are you still seeing that? If so, how many devices do you have connected to the router and how are they connected? How many are online at any one time and what kind of internet usage is happening?

Right now, no since there only me and my brother at home, however when my family is at home I tend to see high cpu usage. Number of devices is probably around 10. Two are wired and the rest are wireless. 5-8 devices are connected at the same time. That's when the tine I took the screenshot on my phone when playing.

Okay thanks and what kind of internet traffic is happening when you see it, general browsing, uploading, streaming video, downloading etc?

If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R3 (found in Settings > WAN) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN on the R3 and enable remote support in Settings > Troubleshooting. Then post back here from a device connected to the R3 when you've done that and when you're having the high CPU usage as the devs would like to have a look at what is happening.

Sorry for the late reply Fraser. I was away for a business trip. So my isp modem doesn't have wifi. I disable ipv6  however I factory reset the r3 due to me still experiencing packet loss on mw3. I haven't seen high cpu usage like before but sadly I'm still experiencing packet loss on mw3.

MW3 servers are consistently having issues on high traffic hours (7pm-11pm )as of now. Yesterday was the worst, I had up to 300ms ping and 11-15% packet loss every other game for about  3 hours. Earlier in the afternoon everything was perfectly Ok.
