I must restart R3 manually everyday to get to the settings or even make those settings work. Am I the only one with that problem? I don't see alot post about it so I'm wondering

I have to restart my router to get it to give out a DHCP address to devices. If I turn my router on first then turn the devices on after aka PC / Xbox, I have to restart the R3. Weird as if it is already on it should be giving out addresses.

What do you see when you can't access the interface? What doesn't work specifically with the Geo-Filter that a reboot fixes? What firmware version are you on?

Set static/reserved IPs for the devices and that should resolve it.

I disabled Steady Ping and this issue went away for me. Also Steady Ping was causing geo filter not to work for me.  Hopefully the devs are looking at Steady Ping and get it fixed soon.

It's been happening on every firmware, since day1. 41 currently.

On both chrome/phone-app it says someting like failed to initialize

I know geo-filter doesn't work when it connects me to servers outside of my filtering.

That could be due to increased CPU usage (we're looking into that), if you use the mobile app to view when playing for example it should be better.

Causing it not to work in what sense?

Could you provide a screenshot of it next time you see that?

Try this for Geo-Filter:

  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

I have those options set like that all the time.

As in your are using it or you'll try that?

Been using whole time.

I also tested turning on/off:
- smartboost
- ad block
- ipv6
- steady ping
- dmz
- congestion control

Nothing helps.

On the Xbox itself in network settings make it use port 3074. We did do a DPI update recently so also resync the cloud on the Device Manager. Once you've done both those things see if it then works correctly please.

Hi Fraser, I don't want to Hijack this thread but if devices are switched off overnight and switched back on they should still get a DHCP address from the router, two of my devices are reserved in the router however you shouldn't need a reservation just to get an IP address.. This morning even after rebooting the router and devices multiple times they would not get an IP I had to set static IP addresses to both devices. My PC was seeing the router gateway but couldn't get a DHCP address. I only have 4 devices on my network. I've already defaulted the router after the latest beta update.

Detects gateway but doesn't give a DHCP address to device.

My phone is still not currently finding an IP address on Wifi.
