JAMINIROON Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 I Updated to the Newest Firmware v4.0.41. I mostly play warzone while gaming and during gunfights I've been getting horrendous lag spikes, always at the worst time possible. My provider Now is Quantum Fiber. I'm using VLAN 201 tagging, it seems like it was the only way to use this router. I have a ONT as well, I'm guessing it has something to do with that? what's the simplest way to go about fixing the lag spike issue? I talked to the company on messenger and they don't do static or PPPoE, so I'm using DHCP. any tips or tricks would be amazing. thanks guys

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2024 Administrators Posted February 6, 2024 How have you setup SmartBOOST/Congestion Control/Geo-Filter?
JAMINIROON Posted February 8, 2024 Author Posted February 8, 2024 Smart boost is 1 Top priority Gaming. Geo Filter, steady ping active, selected the two games i play. I do have the VLAN 201. would that article fix the issue? I dont wanna buy another device if i don't have too. figured this router did the same thing that device does? not sure though. thanks for the speedy replies. Ive been testing the gaming out more and my ping seems to linger from 30-50ms. I used to get anywhere from 5-20ms from seattle servers nearby.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 8, 2024 Administrators Posted February 8, 2024 People are saying the last few days it's been particularly bad, most likely due to the Season 2 update. You can disable Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter and your ping should drop back down. JAMINIROON 1
