R3 Geo Filter not connecting

I use the Netduma R3 for PS5 and the geo filter rarely works, I may be doing something incorrect.

I use the dumaos iOS app and the PS5 is wired into the router.

The filter works perfect when connecting to USA or servers close to the UK.

I live in the UK and want to use the netduma to connect to far away countries like Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
However when I try and connect the match queue ping when searching does not change, and in game I get 10-30 ping so it is still connecting me to close by servers.

i have tried the method of deleting the device, resyncing cloud and setting it up manually and this does not fix the issue, I factory reset the router recently and it did actually fix it, however once I closed my console and tried to change from Saudi to Africa, it would not work at all.

Really love the netduma but I need a consistent way to switch between my home servers and the far away countries, my settings are below (I have also tried with geo-filtering enabled) - (different setting to main filtering in geo filter device)

Keep in mind the purpose of the router isn't to force away far away servers and as such it's not always a guarantee it will work, especially with your ping being higher there is a greater chance the game will just stop you connecting.

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
  5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  6. Wait 2 minutes
  7. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works more consistently.

Hello thank you for your reply.

I have tried this just now a couple times, and when I’m trying to search for a game it’s stuck on 30ping, won’t connect to any servers.

I’m UK trying to connect to east coast USA

Geo filter not working properly

  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.
