x12Tyler
I started getting this critical error when trying to access the interface. It happens from all devices. I’ve also been getting massive packet loss today thought it might have just been mw3 until I tested in pingplotter as well.
x12Tyler
Fixed after clearing my browsing data, was happening on 3 devices though. The packet loss continues probably related to the snow and my isp will be testing the r2 to see if it continues later
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 19 Administrators Share Posted January 19 That's a weird one, glad you were able to resolve it. Are you seeing packet loss directly to the ISP modem/router?

Are you seeing packet loss directly to the ISP modem/router? It isn’t fixed it’s doing it every time I close the page down then try to go back to the interface, clearing the browsing data then reloading the page allows me to log back into it but it’s annoying. It just started doing that yesterday. And yes I only use the r3 hooked straight into the Ethernet cord no isp router. The 6 games I played a few hours again wasn’t doing it so hopefully it fixed itself out, like I said I think it was something related to my isp and the snow not the r3 itself. A few other things that’s happening. —I’m getting like 1-2% jitter on the r3 Speedtest. Was a lot lower on the r2 like 0.2-0.4% –Steady Ping seems to be adding a crap load of jitter, the last few days I thought it was just my pc but the game just don’t smooth at all a lot of times, I disabled steady long and the game was noticeably smoother instantly, why would that be the case? Isn’t steady ping supposed to remove the jitter and make it smoother not the opposite? Like with it on I’ve been feeling a huge delay as well which is weird because it wasn’t doing that until the last few days. —I know it’s been mentioned but the ping optimizer will run but sets my speeds to 100%, is this just a glitch with it? —Also with steady ping enabled on the blufferbloat test I don’t get the check next to low latency gaming, I’m not sure if that’s normal or not either. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 19 Administrators Share Posted January 19 Anything changed settings/setup wise prior to the access issue happening? The jitter issue I believe is the issue caused by the CPU which will be fixed in this next firmware (due today). Steady Ping doesn't eliminate jitter exactly, it raises your ping so that the jitter is absorbed, if you have a lot of jitter this could go above your buffer (if you're just using the simple mode and haven't accounted for it with expert), it could just be the CPU issue I mentioned. Depending on when you run Ping Optimizer it may feel 100% is fine, if you run it during peak times I suspect it will change the percentage. Those bufferbloat tests can be affected by settings on the router such as SmartBOOST priorities etc. You have 0 ping change under load so you're good for gaming. The test I showed was one without steady ping I’ll have to get you on with it on and see what you think. But no settings were changed before I started getting the interface error. I’ll wait and see about this new firmware to see if that is the cause or not. I suspected it is but won’t know until I can test the new fw
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 19 Administrators Share Posted January 19 The error, do you get that when accessing via a PC web browser or is it just the mobile browser/app?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 21 Administrators Share Posted January 21 Could be a memory issue caused by the CPU issue potentially which is preventing you accessing, in which case it'll be much better on the update next week

Like something has been seriously going on the last 3 days or so like bullets not connecting right at all, and overall just not feeling right but that don’t seem to be happening on the r2 so far. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 22 Administrators Share Posted January 22 I suspect the longer the uptime the easier it is for the CPU to hit 100 consistently and cause issues so I don't think it'll be a problem on the new one coming x12Tyler
