Netduma R3 wrong host seletion (EAFC) - high ping

Hello Guys,

Iam using the Netduma R3 for 2 days now. Before i used the asus dsl ac68u. There I had 12-14 ping in EA FC 24, but the gameplay was so heavy and delayed. It got a little better after i used my ps5 as DMZ and opened the ports for ea fc.

I thouhg after using Netduma R3 it would get even more better, but it got worse then before. My ping is fluctating from 20-36 now. Also during the game the host is changing always. Im living near munich und the best server is in frankfurt/mainz server. But strangly i getting hosted in Ulm and munich and during the game is changing from munich to ulm and then to mainz and so on. Sometimes it shows the ping to the server and sometimes not. The worst part is that is connecting me sometimes to the USA server "Oklahoma". It shows a perfect connection with 12 -14 ping. Its impossible, because iam living in Germany near munich/augsburg.

I set up the PS5 as DMZ. Opened the ports. I played with the congretion control to optimze the connection but nothing works.

If i want auto allocate my location, it getting showed in the usa washington DC like in the screenshot below

 

Iam really confused with this router... 

 

Why it showing me a host in Ulm, if Ea has no server in Ulm 

 

Also for Munich, EA has no server in Munich and the ping cant be shown.

Could you pleae give me an explanation?

IP databases will never be 100% accurate, if it's showing in your country then that is good and will not affect your experience whether the city name is wrong at all. The Geo-Filter ping looks good, looks like it's going up to 20ms, try with steady ping enabled, do you get a better experience then?

• Disable GeoLatency
• Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
• Enable Strict Mode
• Disable Fast Search

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then and stop you getting games outside the radius.

I tried it with steady ping. It become worse. Its better without steady ping. 

I dont know, the game feel stil heavy and delayed...even with a low ping. I dont know what the cause for this issue is. I played yesterday in my girlfriends house. She has a normal router, nothing special. The game was so smooth and responsive...

Are there any special settings which improves the connection a lot?

Try forcing a server slightly further away, some people find that helps even if you get a higher ping. 

Networking isn't that simple unfortunately. How do you have Congestion Control set?

for the connexion to usa is du to psn plus authentification, for the other issu we are waiting the update to see the difference

There must be something outside your radius being blocked if that's the case, if you provide the IDs or those servers we can get them whitelisted quickly

Generally its in spanish server EAFC 24 i’ll notive you when i play
