FIRMWARE 4.0.41 Now

Update since updating to the firmware above.

Issues still ongoing/wasn't in changelog
- Web UI not loading after about 24 hours,  refer to the post 1.0 below. Could this be moved to *****Priority, kinda hard to monitor stability etc when we can't load into the OS itself.
- Guest Network still showing as LAN, was'nt in changelog so assuming still WIP.
- Connection in general seems to be a bit weird, some devices lose connection briefly and reconnect after 5-10 secs.

Any fixes/mitigations for this... cannot get into Duma OS on Desktop(browser) or Mobile after about 24 ish hours ? Stays on this screen forever.... backend functionality seems to be functioning correctly such as Wi-Fi and general internet connection.
Have to restart the router to get it to function again.

Yes I will get the team to look at that more closely to see if that can reproduce and fix for the next version.

Could you get the logs from when a device loses connection like that please?

You can find them in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced

Sending the logs to you via DMs for the specific section where I experienced a dropout.

Thank you, I'll get the team to take a look at it.

Fraser, I actually noticed this too today, although it wasn’t when I was home. I went outside for about 15 minutes and when I came back all my devices said they couldn’t connect online, that is until I restarted the router. I will update if this gets worse, or happens again.

There have been reports removing priorities on SmartBOOST or disabling can help prevent this. The team are looking into it

Further update since .41

Wifi disconnection and stability in general has gotten significantly worse, was originally just me but now that family have started noticing it I've been put to notice. I have essentially every advertised feature disabled on the R3 and IPv6 too.

Wifi Signal strength no improvement updating from the .2X firmware, pretty bad in general

Restarts are being required more frequently to access the Web UI sometimes within the same day itself.

Try this:

  • Split the bands, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds
  • Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that
  • Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results
  • Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface
  • Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible
  • Set the antennae to this position _ | | _

-Tried 2.4 and 5GHz split bands, no luck. 5GHz was "maybe" marginally better.
-Already done, Channel 11 for 2.4GHz for me.
-20MHz for 2.4Ghz is what i settled on, 5GHz didnt play around with it too much.
-Router is on top of a wooden cupboard,
-Devices in close proximity: NVR (0.5m away, wired), Switch (0.5m away, wired)
-Antennae positions tried _||_ and \ || / . House is about 120sqm and NOT multi level.
