Recommended Posts

Hello,

Ive been searching for one week what causes my trouble with the r1. Last week i was playing on my ps5 and suddenly my connection was lost to the r1. After this happend i reset the r1 to factory and later i gave it a hard reset because te favtory wasnt working.

Im stil having problems with the ethernetports, they are nog working. Wifi was working okay but also the wifi is unstable and sometimes it lose connection out of no where.

Can someone maybe help me because i want my r1 back the way it was.

I think netduma is the best router for gaming though, so no fence!

Best regards.

Given the age (10+ years) it could be a hardware issue now but what firmware version are you on? Has anything changed in your setup/settings prior to the issue?

Yeah i guess it is the hardware sadly. Nothing changed in my setup recently. I was on the latest one, so up to date.

I also tried the version before this firmware but no results.

My last hope was maybe someone in here could help me out.

Unplug the R2 from power, wait for 30 seconds, hold the Factory Reset button, while continuing to hold plug the power back into the R2 and keep holding the reset for 30 seconds then release. Wait 4 minutes, then see if it works

Unplug the router from power for 24 hours, plug in, then wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if you can get internet. It may seem excessive but we have seen routers come back to life doing this.

There is a launch discount for the R3 yes, I think it's about 20% off

Hello all, I recently had the same issue with failed Ethernet ports  on my r1 with the latest firmware. Initially it stopped working on one device but eventually failed with all. I started using it for a few days prior to this issue as it was in storage for years. I disconnected it and packed it away for a few days until last evening , to my surprise it started back working after a hard reset. I will monitor it but it really is time to upgrade as the OS is proven and it definitely helps with my connection as I live in the Caribbean and the closest game servers are in Florida . My only issue is the software should detect the lowest latency host or server and maintain it . This is on call of duty Warzone btw.

i actually had something similar to this happen recently, i had to hold the ethernet down and it started working again so i just sat something on the ethernet to keep it held down and it started working perfectly normal after than. Mine was working perfectly prior to this then out of no where it did that so i just thought "let me try an ethernet i know works" nothing happened, then i thought "let me just move the ethernet till it works", then eventually noticed it only worked when i had it held to the ground. Weird issue with a weird solution for me personally, who knows, yours may be the same thing.
