a few questions

1. Why the same server may appear twice in my allow list but with different alphanumeric characters?

2. How can I access my providers modem which is behind my R3 ?

3. Is Ping Assist functioning as it should or we are waiting for a fix an if it does , do I have to factor in the steady ping extra value when I set it?

  1. There are many servers clustered together in the same location so it'll be two different servers in the same location
  2. If a router is connected behind the R3 you'd have to be directly connected to it to access or if it has the ability, enable access from WAN
  3. As far as I know it's working correctly. Steady Ping affects your ping once you've got a game so you don't need to do any factoring

Finally....Mainz server works for me.  My in-game reading is 45-50. This is the absolute lowest latency I can get.

But I can't believe what I'm reading.... 20 ms ??????  with a base ping of 50 and 2,500 km distance from the server ???? (I am in Athens, Greece)... It is impossible.

Can this be a bug or something?

Your base ping is dependent on the server you're testing for that, depending on your routing to that server it could be higher/lower than expected. I mean I wouldn't have expected that low a ping at all but how does it play? Does it play like that is the ping you have?

It plays perfect (thanks to R3) but I've never seen such a low number all these years in COD except in the old p2p days. But as far as i know p2p is not implemented in MWIII

TBH i don't think I can ping anything as far as 2,500 km away that can return such a low number.

I mean if you just click on the icon on the map to ping it instead. Actually though, the ID will be shown if you click on the ping graph or it'll show in the URL bar, if you provide that I can check the location

I can't ping it. It says Blocked even though I've allowed it.

Yes that's it thank you. It does appear to be in Germany. You can't ping the IP directly as it will time out and similarly the same would happen with trace route but it'll trace the route up to a point so you can kind of guess at what the ping to it would be. Have a check: 95.179.249.150
