swippur Posted January 2, 2024 Share Posted January 2, 2024 I recently purchased a Netduma r3.. I’ve been doing lots of ping/bufferbloat testing on this router. And it’s one thing I’ve noticed. Not sure if I should worry about it or not. I’m not lagging in games at all. But my ping is very unstable while doing a constant ping test in CMD and ping plotter. This doesn’t happen at all on netduma r2. My IDLE ping while there is 0 activity on my network fluctuates between 6ms and sometimes as high as 13ms. Is this just from netduma r3 doing its thing? On my netduma r2 my idle ping stays between 6-7ms this is expected while there is absolutely no activity on my network. But r3 it goes from 6-13ms But like I said I’m not lagging at all in my games this is just something I noticed from me testing ping / latency like I do on all routers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not really even an issue I mean it’s not affecting gameplay at all.. but I like to do more than gameplay testing. And those fluctuations were freaking me out.
