jpzuppe
R3 sees my devices but thinks they are offline. They are not. Cannot filter Xbox. It shows no data fore it. Xbox is hard wired. If I connect the wired network to any of the ports I have no internet. I have to connect the wired network directly to cable modem. This particular setup worked with the R2. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 21, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 21, 2023 Reboot the router, wait 4 minutes then reboot the console fully and wait 2 minutes and check again, does it work correctly? If you're using the instant on/standby mode on the Xbox this could be why, in which case a full restart should allow it to work correctly
jpzuppe
Doing that had no effect. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 22, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2023 Is this happening for all devices? Are they connected directly to the R3 or are you using a switch/AP with them connected etc?
jpzuppe
I have them behind a switch. This setup worked fine on the R2. I tried connecting the line to switch from the R3 but I lose internet. Maybe I have it connected all wrong.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 22, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2023 It'll have to be modem > R3 > Switch. If it's a pure modem it can only have one device connected to it that it provides internet to. Is it a managed or unmanaged switch?
jpzuppe
It is a managed gaming switch. I will tinker with it over the next few days. Like I said before this was not an issue with the R2. If I cannot resolve this I will probably have to go back to it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 22, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2023 Might be some settings on there interfering with it, if so we can definitely look into that. Can you disable all functions and then see if everything appears online after a reboot?
jpzuppe
I will bypass it and only connect to Xbox and see how that works out. Netduma Fraser
jpzuppe
It is working perfectly now. The problem was with the yellow internet cable that came with the R3. I replaced it with a new one. Everything on my network is seen properly, even those that are beyond the switches.
