Melon
Hey guys, could use a little help with initial setup. I have Mediacom and we have 3 eeros, which are basically WAP's. When I plug straight from the modem into the Nighthawk router, it doesn't get an internet connection. I have to go from modem to eero, from eero to router. Is there a way to cut out the eero so I can just go directly to the router? I called mediacom and they said to do what I tried already, just to cut out the eero and go from modem to router but that didn't work initially. Can anyone help? I was plugged in from port 1 on the modem to the internet port on the nighthawk. No connection. So I did port 1 from modem to port 1 on the eero then from port 2 on the eero to the internet port on the nighthawk. Had internet connection. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 21, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 21, 2023 Do you know if you require anything specific to get internet such as PPPoE, VLAN, DHCP identifiers etc?

Update, took a look at the network settings and it has my WAN set to DHCP default and no PPPoE.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 21, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 21, 2023 Okay so it sounds like you have completed the Setup Wizard on the XR, could you connect it to the mediacom, reboot the media, wait 2 minutes, reboot the XR, wait 4 minutes and see if you get a connection then please?
