Rhomzy
Hi there, my R3 arrived yesterday and initial setup was pretty easy. Wasn’t until I hooked the consoles and pc I need geo filtered I noticed big issues. firstly the geofilter 90% doesn’t change the ping it still searches at the usual ping (25ms) it would if I was on my standard router even though I have strict mode on and geo filtering to a location which should be over 100ms-150ms. After a lot of troubleshooting I decided to factory reset both my ISP router and the Duma R3 and also clear all consoles of saved cache and reboot. FINALLY got the ping to sort of correlate what it should but one console is at 110ms while other is at 180ms so still something a bit off but I thought I’ll let it run and see what the ping inside the game is, to my knowledge game started MWIII multiplayer and see that latency in game was 29ms and it had connected to a London server. After hours I tried to deny a lot of servers but was still getting pings to amsterdam, Chicago and london even though my filter is thousands of miles from there THINGS TRIED ping assist set to zero experimented with polygon and simple circle at different sizes removing devices refreshing cloud making new geo and rebooting devices. factory reset of both Duma router and Sky ISP router. dmz on isp both on and off steady ping both on and off enabling strict mode on geo Setting static ip for devices every combination of boot up first or change setting in different orders have been attempted nothing seems to work. also the consoles are either having issues with strict Nat types or if sometimes when they correct to moderate or open they are still saying double Nat type. I heard good things about this router but I feel like sending it back at this point as it’s just as buggy and features not working as intended as the XR1000. any help or updates for the R3 would be greatly appreciated, I have already looked through every post in call of duty and the geo filter and the r3 categories and none of the fixes what’s been recommended have helped. At all attached some images of the example of when the geofilter is clearly on Singapore but connects to london servers

That worked for me, I kept getting servers outside my geofence until I switched this setting.
Rhomzy
I’ve done that it just seems to work 50% of the time. Sick of doing reboots/resets and changing settings which just feels like a software flaw as the XR1000 was the same and that’s why I’ve bought this router to be greeted with same issue 🫤
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 20, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 20, 2023 What is your physical setup? How is your ISP modem/router setup? Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Are you using Congestion Control at all?
