This is getting a little frustrating now. I've described the issue a number of times, clearly it's quite complex and it seems like you're trying to fob it off. This is an issue with how my modem/ISP is not allowing the NetDuma to "host" internet. If you can't resolve, that's fine, but let's at least try address the issue itself... I'm going to request a refund if not, as the product is not working as advertised.

I'm not trying to fob it off as that doesn't help anyone, I'd just have to come back and reply again, I'm dealing with a lot of questions at the moment and so I may misread things at times.

So it's Sky Hub > R3 now right? If so reboot the Sky hub, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R3, wait 2 minutes then check. Sounds simple but sometimes that's all it takes.

After some more digging it looks as though there is PPPoE settings required + a VLAN ID (see below screenshot). I can input username, password and MTU, but the VLAN Id won't save. The ID. just disappears each time. Any thoughts?

You don't need to do that with the Sky Hub in the setup as it will be handling that, is that how you have it setup currently?

We're looking into the VLAN ID not saving currently - another reason to stay with Sky Hub > R3 while we fix it

So set up is as follows:

- Sky Router SR204 is active and allowing devices to connect

- R3 is connected to Sky Router via Ethernet

- R3 has no internet, nor is it showing anything on the interface (see screenshot)

- I cannot connect any devices to the R3 at all, am only able to get into the interface

- The only way to access R3 interface is by connecting to the "NetDumaR3" network, but then cannot access any other websites or do anything else as there is no internet

Hope this makes it clear what I'm seeing?

That makes sense thank you, the dashboard won't show anything for network data as you can't connect to the internet.

Could you provide a screenshot of the network settings on the Sky Hub please? If you connect a device direct to the Sky hub does it get internet?

Thank you for that, are you able to disable IPv6 on the Sky Hub? If so could you do that please, reboot the hub, wait 2 minutes, reboot the R3, wait 2 minutes then check again please?

@Netduma Fraser Thanks. Tried and that didn't work. Any further thoughts?

Could you disable DHCPv6 as well please if that didn't disable when you disabled IPv6 and try again? It's very strange devices can connect directly to it without issues which indicates there aren't any settings you need to enter into the R3 specifically, it should just work

DHCPv6 disabled automatically when I disabled IPv6 so that's already covered.

When I look at some Sky Forums, this is what I found: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/3rd-party-router-with-sky-Fibre-ont-box-Ireland/td-p/3848455

Do you think the ISP is blocking it somehow?

Thanks for that, looks like they're mostly trying to replace the Sky hub which I think is what we'll have to do. I've heard from the team and there is a fix on the way for VLAN which should be ready for tomorrow if you're able to wait until then? Then I can provide the firmware to you and you should be able to bypass the Sky hub entirely.

Ok sounds good. I don't know how to update firmware so will need help with that (I'm on Mac only). Thanks

Okay great, I'll get back to you as soon as you have it. I'll send you a physical file and then you'd upload it on the interface in Settings > Troubleshooting > Upload Firmware

Thanks @Netduma Fraser, have gotten the firmware uploaded and VLAN saved. I’m now back at the point where internet is working when connecting to the R3 but can’t get into the DumaOS interface while connected to the internet… So strange. I’ve tried disabling the WiFi on the Sky router to try and force the R3 into thinking that’s the only router on the network.. that didn’t work either. I’ve tried re-setting both routers and waiting. Not sure where to go from here..

Correction - there is NO internet coming from the R3, my laptop is just using the sky internet through the duma WiFi. My phone won’t load any pages when I’m on the R3 network… Back to square one…

Take the Sky Hub out of the equation, hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then access. When you get to the internet section in the Setup do advanced and enter PPPoE there (I don't recall if it has VLAN there or not but if it does enter it), if you enter all that hopefully you'll have internet, if not complete the wizard and enter if in network settings. You should be able to have internet and access all the time now. Let us know how you get on.
