1. Firmware update will not apply.

2. With Ping assist and Geo filter I randomly get in to 120ms lobbies.

3. Multiple resets/Hard resets/ Reset with holding the reset button for 30 seconds.

4. Every time the R2 loses power it factory resets the router.

Noticed this about a month ago where when I lost power to the house.  The internet would not come back up.  Found that the R2 had factory reset and I needed to reset up the Wifi.

Support is enabled currently on the router.

Any other information thats needed I can provide.

Thanks,

Mike

What happens when you try to update?

Put Ping Assist to 0 so you guarantee the servers just within your radius.

Make your changes then reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing again, next time you lose power it should keep your settings.

Does a reboot from the interface reset it as well?

Reboot from the interface then attempt the upgrade as fast as you can, if that doesn't work, reset then update asap

That is very strange, are you accessing the router using a bookmark?

Copy the WAN IP from the R2 System Information page, enter that in your ISP modem/router DMZ and then on the R2 WAN Settings enable remote support then post back here from a device connected to the R2 and we can attempt to force an upgrade through tomorrow.

What is the model of the Google router/modem? Better to continue here rather than DMs. Is it a pure modem i.e. no WiFi?

It seems that even if the update goes through it's not actually updating for some reason. We've collected some data from another user with the same issue and we'll see if we can find the cause to then allow for a successful upgrade, if you check back in a few days I should know more by then.
