Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 No it depends on how the game is made. Many games work like this.
roads Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 Are there any other devices that can keep me from connecting outside EU?
roads Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 for example would this help? http://bandurasystems.com/products/
roads Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 What do you mean by worlds first? Blocking out countries? You could totally do as much I understand?
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 No by distance and as easily roads. But anyway regardless of blocking methodology you won't stop other players being in the game.
Buds Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 LMAO, epic pic. Reminds me of my daughter when I say no
abc123 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 @Roads you'd have to force host, then block anyone trying to connect from outside your area...which would literally cause you to have to wait 30 minutes for a game, then likely have others leave because their friends can't join Furthermore this is the first consumer product that blocks by area, or even country. Commercial grade products can do this and commercial grade ISP lines also can allow for this.
RabX2 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Roads, you want a warning their in your lobby? That's already there like the Dev said. Zoom out if you see the triangle at an absurd distance just back out. That one guy you speak of being host is what you should be worried about and that's where the duma steps in. Him being host is ten times worse then him being a tag along. If duma intervened like what you want, that would cross a lot of ethical boundaries and enable the darker players to have more control.
RabX2 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Give it some time roads. If and\or when 25% of the player base has a duma the majority of lobbies will be realigned. Right now this is just helping you, later once there are more out there, there will be residual effects being handed to all players. Then the game developers will get all the credit for better lobbies when in reality Dumas team orchestrated it.
roads Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Ok I see if I zoom out there is the fubar triangle, cant the color of the radar change if there is a player ike this connecting so we dont have to zoom out? No intervention just easy info?
