clarkjo Posted November 9, 2023 Share Posted November 9, 2023 I know the title might seem a little basic, but I've been researching these two routers for the past month or so and I'm still not sure which route I want to go. My goal is to have a DumaOS based router with at least one Wifi 6 AP. My set-up is going to be my old Wifi 5 router acting as an AP about 125 feet away and the new router I'm going to buy being my primary router. The reason I say at least one Wifi 6 AP is because I know the AP in the R2 is worse than my current router's AP, and if I was to get the R2 I would probably buy an additional AP for the R2 and then disable Wifi on it. This is why I was leaning towards the XR1000, because it has Wifi 6 built in, and has better hardware in general. The only reason I'm not yet pulling the trigger on the XR1000 is because I am hear it has lots of bugs that mess it up and make it an overall bad experience.
