Tony23
Hello I am having several ping spikes and have tried any possible troubleshooting so far. -Network reset -Router restart - Disabled IPV6 - dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth -sfc /scannow - ipconfig /flushdns - ipconfig /registerdns - ipconfig /release - ipconfig /renew - netsh winsock reset - Scan for Virus and Malware with Bitdefender, Windows Defender and MSERT -> all clean - clean boot - newest windows and network driver updates - wifi disabled - bluetooth disabled - no other running background programs or updated - different cables My Setup: - wired ethernet connection - OPPO 5G CPE T1a (192.168.0.1) and Netduma R2 gaming router (192.168.77.1) My router is at the window of my room and has a direct sight to the 5G Antenna. Might this be an 5G issue or is there anything wrong with my router/windows setup? Best Tony
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 9, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 9, 2023 If your internet is 5G then yes it will have some inherent stability but aside from that this is what QoS was designed for. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.
