Holz
I have an internet plan with 500mb download and 250 upload. There are 10 connected devices (9 Wi-Fi and 1 cable) on R2. My question is about the ideal configuration for congestion control in R2. If I leave 100% of the bandwidth in congestion control and control the bandwidth allocation to the devices, would that solve the delay in the game? I will prioritize the COD game. I used the translator, so I'm sorry if it wasn't clear.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 29, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2023 No the other way around would be better, use Congestion Control, don't use Bandwidth Allocation. Utilize Traffic Prioritization as well - DumaOS Classified Games should be prioritizing already. Holz

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 29, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2023 We usually suggest starting at 70% and then adjusting from there based on your experience Holz

I'm using netduma R2 on dmz and I can't get any more bandwidth. I have already disabled all protection options and left only IPv6. Is this a defect in netduma R2? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 31, 2023 You said previously your connection is 500mb download and 250 upload, have you upgraded since then? Are ALL devices connected to the R2?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 31, 2023 If other devices are connected to the ISP modem/router they can take bandwidth up so make sure none are connected to that and try again

If i put R2 on pppoe the bandwidth is lower than 700mb. I saw your comment recommending using R2 in dmz, but the problem is not resolved. Do you have any tips for me to try ? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 31, 2023 You may not be able to achieve higher, you may have hit the limit but if you put your PC in the R2 DMZ then test what do you get? Take it out of the DMZ after the test.

Take it out of the DMZ after the test. I took some time to do some tests and wanted to ask another question about bandwidth speed. My current plan is 500MB download and 250MB upload, but my ISP is providing me with 1GB download and 500MB upload speeds. In my tests I get speeds (with the provider's modem) of 947MB download and 510MB upload. What speed do I need to put on my R2 to improve optimization? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 13, 2023 I would put the speeds you're actually receiving from the modem Holz
