Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 4, 2023 Administrators Posted July 4, 2023 When are you getting this error exactly, when loading the page, after entering a config, making a rule etc?
Pkendall1986 Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 Morning, no when I am clicking on the Hybrid VPN, it doesn't even load the screen if I eventually get through to the VPN setup I can't delete anything I get an error. i really don't want to have to factory reset and setup all devices again. many thanks,
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 6, 2023 Administrators Posted July 6, 2023 What were the rules you had added exactly? I suspect a conflicting rule may have been added which has gotten the router into a weird state.
Pkendall1986 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 possibly so are suggesting that in order to fix it will be resetting as it won't even allow me to config or into the VPN function,
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 6, 2023 Administrators Posted July 6, 2023 If that is what has happened then yes unfortunately you will need to factory reset to clear it as it's the only way to delete the conflicting rules.
Pkendall1986 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 will you be able to send me the settings for VPN for ps5 as won't remember how to do it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 6, 2023 Administrators Posted July 6, 2023 All you need to do is add it and it will add greyed out, then it will be applying to the entire console, nothing else you need to add
Pkendall1986 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 I had to add port forward rules only vpn this service
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 6, 2023 Administrators Posted July 6, 2023 That's not needed, if you have your console set to a PlayStation in the Device Manager, when you add it to the VPN it will add like this: and you don't need to do anything else, it will apply to the entire device.
Pkendall1986 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 Oh, so I didn't need to add a service then? I did know that

Pkendall1986 Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 excellent thank you for your help might be why the vpn service has been brilliant then Netduma Fraser 1
Pkendall1986 Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 Oh, so I didn't need to add a service then? I didn't know that. Also if I delete the devices from the device manager will this remove the VPN rule? when is the next firmware due?

Yes it would delete the VPN rule as well though it's best to delete any custom rules for devices before deleting the device just to make sure it doesn't cause any errors.
