Netduma R2 Questions

Hey netduma team. First off let me say it's awesome you guys are so active in the forums. I took a gamble way back when the R2 was first released and purchased it. At the time I didn't know much about Netduma or it's team and how support would be. But you guys have been awesome. That said, I'm popping in for a little more support/information from you guys!

1) What is the newest firmware going to bring to our Netduma R2 routers? Are there plans for anything brand new and exciting or just stability fixes? I only ask because the new firmware has been in the works for quite some time. Also, is there a way to get early access to this firmware in an attempt to help you guys locate issues and fixes quicker?

2) I still do not understand Geofiltering for gaming. I play Overwatch 2 but when I geo filter no matter how large I set the radius it never finds a server. I did want to point out that the geo filter says "Overwatch" but the ping heatmap shows "Overwatch 2". Is there something that needs to be done to account for Overwatch being shut down completely and Overwatch 2 taking over?

3) I have discovered for myself that using the default DNS values can result in quite the lag on webpages loading on iOS devices. I end up having to manually change my DNS to something like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Is this Netduma related or more likely something with my ISP? I am not a super tech geek so any clarity you can bring to this would be awesome.

Again, thank you to the whole Netduma team for being awesome!

Thanks for the kind words! To answer your questions:

  1. Yes new features will be introduced, I would recommend you sign up for Early Access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and you can then try the new versions once approved.
  2. Could you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please? You shouldn't need to change anything really.
  3. By default it will use the DNS that your ISP/modem uses so nothing on our side in that regard, most are not super optimized so makes sense changing it gives some better performance.
