Setting IP outside DHCP?

Hi,

I tried setting my xbox ip outside the dhcp list. It will not recognize the address.  

I currently have the xbox ip set up inside dhcp and reserved. 

Is there any benefit in performance going outside the dhcp list?

What was the IP that you set exactly? No not really unless you're having issues with DHCP specifically

DHCP goes to 255. I tried 256 bux xbox said not recognized cuz outside range.

That won't work, you'd need to adjust the range on DHCP then set a value outside that under 256
