nferguzl Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Has this bug been fixed in the latest firmware when used with PPPoE or should I use the previous firmware? Which settings help limit a device’s upload speed using the bandwidth allocation flower?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 27, 2022 Administrators Posted July 27, 2022 Are you using PPPoE/IPv6/VLAN? If so then you may still encounter the issue, if not then you can use Congestion Control to limit on a wide scale or Bandwidth Allocation with Share Excess disabled.
nferguzl Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 I’m using PPPoE, is there any way around this limitation?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 27, 2022 Administrators Posted July 27, 2022 For the moment having a router or managed switch upstream (modem > router/switch > XR) handling PPPoE instead and having the XR connected to that would allow it to work.
nferguzl Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 Is this gonna ever be fixed? Don’t want to sound critical but just want to know if it is possible to correct and looked at by the dev team.

bake Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Is this issue gonna be fixed in the next firmware update? just got the xr1000 today and I don’t want to use another router in front of the xr.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2022 Administrators Posted November 13, 2022 Yes I believe this is fixed in the next version, I can double check with the team bake 1
