Dreadrea
I have a FiOs router with an Ethernet cable from the FiOs router straight into my R2. No fancy setups. But it’s not connecting to the internet anymore. I did a hard reset.l and Firmware is on the latest version. I checked another router to see if it was the FiOs router not giving the connection and that connected just fine. I’ve unplugged it for 3 days thinking that would do some extended reset. Checked ports. Reset network adapters. Nothing. It just does not connect anymore. Any simplified help would be appreciated. 😉
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 10, 2022 Welcome to the forum! Just to double check, after you completed the factory reset did you access the interface and complete the Setup Wizard? If not please do so as you won't be able to get internet without it. Dreadrea
Yes and it still says not connected.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 10, 2022 Reboot the Fios router, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2 from the interface, wait 2 minutes and then see if you have internet. Sometimes routers can be picky about the order in which they are booted.
Dreadrea
that didn’t work out either
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 12, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2022 With the R2 connected to the Fios router, access the Fios interface, does it show the R2 as a connected device at all and does it give it an IP address? Dreadrea
after I rebooted it from the interface, it doesn’t even get past the “checking internet connection” for me to even see the IP Address
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 12, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2022 You should be able to skip that part but I mean on the Fios router it should list devices that are connected to it and show if it has given them an IP or not
Dreadrea
No. It doesn’t have one for the R2
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 13, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 13, 2022 Okay so on the Fios router try giving the R2 a reserved/static LAN IP address, then reboot the R2, wait 2 minutes and see if you can get a connection
